Prep the chicken: Dry chicken with paper towels and make sure to pat DRY (*very key). Season the chicken on both sides
Heat a cast iron skillet or oven-proof pan over medium high heat and coat the bottom with a thin layer of oil. Once the pan is HOT, put chicken into the pan and let cook for 5 minutes. (Try not to move your chicken around so it can get a nice sear)
Flip the chicken and immediately transfer the pan into the oven for 13 minutes
Take chicken out of oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
